Documentary following the construction of a new boutique hotel in London.

Episode 1

Mark Fuller, nightclub owner, entrepreneur and host to the stars, has a new venture: Sanctum Soho, London’s first rock ‘n’ roll-themed boutique hotel. Its 30 individually designed rooms are aimed at rock stars and celebrities wanting to stay in the capital. Eight weeks ahead of opening, Sanctum still looks like a building site. Launching in one of the worst recessions in living memory, it’s two years late and the cost of the build has spiralled. Amid delays and disasters, Mark wonders whether Sanctum will open on time and on budget.

Episode 2

Work on Mark Fuller’s Sanctum Soho Hotel has been slow over the Christmas period, and it is still running behind schedule. A catalogue of disasters and hold-ups add to the spiralling costs, as 150 doors are snowed in at the Swiss border and Mark worries about visible joins in the 15,000 pound brown fabric wallpaper in the bedrooms.

Designer Lesley continues to get two rooms ready for a marketing shoot, but there is a crucial item missing in one of the rooms: the bed. And project manager Kevin has more bad news for Mark; the building work has been put back by a month, so it looks like the grand opening may have to be delayed again. With paying guests already booked in, the stakes are higher than ever.

Episode 3

As Mark Fuller reaches the middle of March 2009, work on the hotel is finally nearing completion. He desperately needs the hotel to open and start making money.

But hours before a vital building inspection, disaster strikes as a pipe bursts, flooding the entire reception. With the pressure on, will Mark get Sanctum ready in time for his celeb-filled grand opening?

Sanctum Soho Hotel is an oasis of comfort, style and sophistication in the heart of London’s buzzing West End. Situated on Warwick Street, two beautiful Georgian townhouses have been converted into a sumptuous 30-bedroom boutique hotel – an exclusive and extravagant playpen for the most discerning of guests.

Making the most of its quiet position, just off Regent Street, Sanctum Soho Hotel is within easy reach of the best that London has to offer – minutes from the shops of Regent, Bond and Oxford Streets, the theatres of the West End, and the desirable haunts of Soho and Mayfair.

A celebration of edgy glamour and individuality, Sanctum Soho Hotel pays homage to Soho’s history as a hubbub of artistic and bohemian life. From the underground cinema to the destination restaurant, No.20, and roof-top garden with its 24-hour bar and al fresco hydro spa, your every indulgence is catered for. The beautiful interior design, courtesy of Lesley Purcell at Can Do, is perfectly complemented by ever changing artwork from London based artist Xavier Pick.

In-room facilities have been carefully considered with the modern urbanite in mind and include Miller Harris amenities, Wii consoles and Wii Fit, iPod docking stations and state-of-the-art entertainment systems alongside much, much, more.
